After completing my studies in architectural design, my final project being 'The restoration of Hotel Hamdorf in Laren', I attended the course 'Restoring antique furniture' at the Istituto per Arte é il Restauro in Florence.
In 1980, Id my own furniture restoration workshop, which has been located on the Rijnkade, along the river Oude Rijn in Bodegraven, since 1986.
At the end of 1997, I started to organise week-long courses for antique lovers and connoisseurs under the project title: 'Restoration in Tuscany'.
