The restoration work which I carry out in my own workshop mainly involves furniture from the 18th and 19th centuries.

I try to find a restoration solution to all conceivable problems related to either the wood or the construction. In doing so, I allow myself to be guided by the condition of the furniture, but the future use of the piece also plays an important role. Over and above this, I take the ethics into account, as set down in the ethical code of conduct of the VeRes (Association of Restorers).
Fire damage, water damage, transport damage, rings, scratches, discoloration, constructional problems, damage caused by wood worm, splits or cracks resulting from a too dry or too wet atmosphere - for every problem there is a suitable restoration solution.
My specialities are:
- Restoring furniture to the right colour
- Marquetry.
- Finishing e.g. French polishing
